Why install defibrillator in the Rosebery workplace?
The British Heart Foundation claim that less than 1 in 10 people in the UK survive an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. Two big factors that play a part in this are:
- there aren’t enough people prepared to perform CPR when someone has a cardiac arrest
- there aren’t enough defibrillators.
Rosebery HSE advisor Vince Cassidy said ‘’By having a potentially lifesaving defibrillator available and trained staff in CPR, we can play an important part in our commitment to keeping our colleagues and local community safe’’.
